Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is the vice president of the United States. Cheney is a recognizable person in Washington over the years. George W. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president. He also served as a Member of Congress and served as the secretary of defense. Both Republicans and Democrats appreciate his honesty and integrity. Cheney says he is an honest and discreet adviser for Bush within his administration. Cheney has accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney said that he is looking forward to working with one who can work to get things done by working across the political aisle and working with political opponents with good will and a common purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family moved across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
