Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a bubble of white and how this realization affected how she cared for her adoptive multiracial children. The actress "Firefly Lane" spoke to a reporter that it was not important what color her skin was to her. However, after meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she noticed the differences between how others took care of her. I inquired of Meg whether, while she was out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she got a completely different kind of treatment. She replied: 'Oh yes, every all the time! This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided use that anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son with her 13-year husband, Josh Kelley. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. and then Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black as of 2012.
